One of my favorites! Mely created the blog so that her teenage son would be able to recreate his mother’s home cooking later in his life, whenever he craved her albondigas or tamales or picades. The blog features features traditional homestyle Mexican recipes, with emphasis on food from Tamaulipas (Mely’s home state), Nuevo León, Veracruz, Puebla, Estado de Mexico, Tabasco and Yucatan. Aside from the author’s own recipes, she also shares cooking ideas from well-known chefs, bloggers, and Mexican-food enthusiasts.
Welcome to Mexico in my Kitchen, a blog that I started 10 years ago for my teenage son, hoping that someday he will need it to recreate the Mexican Food his “mamá” made for the family. Our meals are traditional home-style meals from across México with a great influence from the following states: Tamaulipas, Nuevo León, Veracruz, Puebla, Estado de México, Tabasco, and Yucatán.
